Project Overview:

Step into a world where physical beauty, ancient tradition, and raw sensuality converge in OLYMPUS: THE DAWN OF GLORY — a groundbreaking photographic exploration re-imagining the origins of the Olympic Games. This stunning 150-page hardcover book captures the essence of the ancient athletes of Olympia, showcasing their strength, grace, and sensuality as they prepare for the
legendary competitions that would unite city-states in pursuit of glory.

We are seeking 12 male models to embody the spirit of these ancient Olympians, each representing the muscular, lithe, and captivating athletes who once competed for honor before gods and spectators. Models will be photographed in iconic Olympic events —foot race, javelin, discus, wrestling, and pankration (pre-cursor to MMA fighting) — in an intimate, sensual portrayal of athleticism in its purest, most powerful form.

Model Criteria:

To ensure we select the right individuals for this provocative and visually bold project, please carefully review the following
requirements:

1. Athletic Build & Physical Fitness:
  • Models must have a strong, athletic physique with a well-defined body.
  • A background in sports, fitness, or other physically demanding activities is strongly encouraged.
  • Ability to perform athletic movements or poses that express strength, agility, and grace is essential.

2. Comfort with Nude/Partial Nude Representation
  • This project involves portraying athletes in the raw beauty of their physicality. Models must be comfortable with being nude or partially nude (the suggestion is to be nude / implied nude in key shots). Sling “thongs” may be used in certain situations.
  • The photographs will explore the sensuality of athletic movement and strength in its most honest, unfiltered form. Models must be open to portraying this without modesty or inhibition.
  • Complete nudity is NOT a requirement for this project in certain production situations or arrangements.

3. Comfort with mud / dirt / sweat / wet situations
  • This project involves portraying athletes in the realistic representation of the original Olympic competitions. Models must be  comfortable with being involved in environments involving dirt and mud and other raw earth materials, water situations and sweat (whether actual or artificially created). In images portraying the Pankration competitions, simulated blood and wounds will be used.                
 
3. Collaborative Spirit:
  • This project is deeply rooted in teamwork. You will be working with other fit, physique-minded models to capture dynamic group shots, relay races, and paired interactions (such as wrestling or pankration).
  • We are looking for models who are willing to collaborate with others, embodying the spirit of the original Games—teamwork, camaraderie, and fierce competition.

4. Sports Ability:
  • Models should possess the ability to perform or convincingly simulate athletic movements—whether it’s running a race, throwing a javelin, or engaging in physical combat.
  • A background in disciplines such as track and field, martial arts, gymnastics, or wrestling is highly beneficial.

5. Professionalism & Commitment:
  • Models must be punctual, professional, and committed to the creative process, working together to bring this historical vision to life.
  • The shoot will take place in or around Athens, Greece in the months of April and May 2025. Models must be available for travel and on-location work during this period.

Compensation:
  • Models selected will be compensated for their time and work, with all travel and accommodation expenses covered for the duration of the shoot.
